AC MILAN have revealed they will battle Real Madrid for the signature of Cristiano Ronaldo.
The Italian giants are on the verge of selling superstar midfielder Kaka to Real for a world record £62m fee.
And Milan have now targeted the 24-year-old Manchester United ace to replace the gifted Brazilian.
World Player of the Year Ronaldo now seems set to be thrust into another summer tug-of-war between two of Europe's biggest powerhouses.
United boss Alex Ferguson will do all he can to hang on to the Portugal international.
But that has not deterred Milan president Silvio Berlusconi, who claims to have already spoken to the winger.
Berlusconi said: "I told Cristiano Ronaldo that I would like to see him as a Rossonero."He looked at me, and said 'Who doesn't like Milan? All players would like to come to Milan'."
